Dr. Xiaojun Ruan is an Associate Professor with the Department of Computer Science at California State University, East Bay. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering from Auburn University in August 2011, under the supervision of Dr. Xiao Qin. He received his B.E. degree in Computer Science and Technology from Shandong University, Jinan, China in July 2005. He was an Associate Professor (with tenure) of Computer Science August 2016 to August 2017 at West Chester University of Pennsylvania, Assistant Professor of Computer Science August 2011 to August 2016. His research interests lie in the fields of Cloud Computing, Distributed and Parallel Computing, Computer Security, Energy-Efficient Computing, Data Storage Systems, and Artificial Intelligence.
