Lynne Grewe

Lynne is the director of blindBike at iLab at California State University East Bay. She also is a professor in Computer Science and enjoys innovating. She has also worked in industry including IBM and in 2018 is a Google Faculty in Reisdence.

Emmanuel Gallegos

Emmanuel is a research assistant at iLab studying the use of computer vision and infrared thermography for mobile fever detection, and is a software engineer at T'ena Health Tehnologies. Emmanuel is a recipient of NSF CASHI REU at iLab.

Shivali Choudhary

Shivali is a graduate student working on the Covid ID project and is currently working on computer vision and infrared thermography for mobile fever detection. She has interest in deep learning and machine learning.

Dikshant Patel

Dikshant is a graduate student working on the Covid ID project and specifically the IRFIS - Infrared Fever Inidicator system toward the goal of Smart Health SItuation Awarness using Computer Vision and ML Dikhsant is begining work on USqat and extending this work to Video Synthesis.

Garrett Steveson

Steven is a graduate student in iLab and is working on Seeing Eye Drone for his thesis. This work focuses on using deep learning to detect User+Heading and separate CNN for Object Detection and 3D reasoning is perform to select objects that are obstacles to the user.

Chengzhi Hu

Chengzhi is a graduate student working on Ulearn project. He is applying Deep Learning techniquies to detect emotions inside of a web-based learning app. When a user is "frustrated" the ULearn app using Google cloud services applies NLP semantic analysis to the currently viewed content and then performs a search for similar web content, presenting the results as "link tips".

Krishnan Chandran

Krishna is a graduate student also working on iSight and took a lead in the Image Enhancement module as well as took a lead role in usability testing.

Allen Shahshahani

Was developer of iVest a wearable using tactile sensors to deliver location information for object detected by the iSight system. Allen was in charge hardware design and configuration and Arduino development.

Suchana Vasanth Kashyap

Suchana is working with a team towards the development of iSight a low vision mobility aid utilizing deep learving and visualization technqiues to help with every day mobility issues.

Jake Shahshahani

Worked on iVest and assisted with the hardware fabrication of iVest and led development on creation of the iVest belt model currently in use.

William Overrell

William is alumni of Lab and workied on blindBike for his thesis. His role in development is the lead on lane following and navigation.

Christopher Lagli

Christopher another alunmni of iLab worked on blindBike for his thesis. His role in development is the lead on intersection detection featuring stop light detection.

Steven Magana-Zook

Steven is another graduate of iLab and did his thesis on the development of the Senior Collapse Detection System (SCD). SCD is an autonmous system for in-home use to detect when seniors have fallen using 3D computer vision analysis. Emergency Services are contacted and Speech Recogntion and TTS technologies are utilized.

Cemil Kes

Cemil is a graduate student working on the Covid ID project and is currently working on detection of mouth/nose features as it relates to the wearing of masks.

Maithri Chullakani House

Maithri is a graduate student working on the Covid ID project and is currently working on detection of properly wearing masks as it relates to health situation awareness using machine learning and computer vision.

Subhangi Asati

Subhangi is a graduate student working on Social Distancing in the Covid ID project. She is primarily repsonsible for the Learning Based Social Distance Measurement System

Divya Gupta

Divya is a graduate student working on Social Distancing in the Covid ID project. She is primarily repsonsible for the Direct Person Measurement Based Subsystem.

Manasi Weginwar

Manasi has worked on Covid ID project in Social Distancing and is now starting to investigate Video Synthesis

Bhumit Patel

Bhumit is a graduate student working on Crowd Density Estimation in the Covid ID project. He iis primarily repsonsible for the Learning Based Crowd Density Estimation Subsystem.

Kunjkumar Patel

Kunjkumar s a graduate student working on Crowd Density Estimation in the Covid ID project. He iis primarily repsonsible for the Direct Person Based Crowd Density Estimation Subsystem.

Jamie Nguyen

Jamie is an ungraduate student working on Crowd Density Estimation in the Covid ID project. He has worked on this as well as some of the application visualizaiton components.

Krishna Tank

Krishna is a graduate student working on the UFall system. Krishan is applying Computer vision and Deep Learning to a First-Person perspective falling system.

Aditya Jaiswal

Aditya is a graduate student working on the UFall system. He is investigatng the use of an accelerometer.

Kelly Pham

Kelly is a graduate student working on the USquat project. This is a corrective exercise assistant system using computer vision and machine learning
