Regarding Individual and Group Work:

  1. Individual Assignments (not in groups) = Meetup  , Entrepreneurial Strategy with Ethical Impacts & Safeguards

  2. Group Assignments= Case Studyw/Personal&Professional Ethics,    Entrepreneur&Ethics

  3. IF GROUP NOT WORKING: The intention is for you to work in groups on any assignments labeled as group work using the group you were assigned to in class. If there are any conflicts you must resolve them prior to 30 days before the due date of the assignment if you want me to be involved in resolving your issues. IF I am contacted before the 30 days I will then make the decision to split you up into self-chosen sub-teams or to do the project by yourself. IF I am contacted after 30 days, then it will be at the discretion of the instructor after attempted discussions with the group as to if and how the group will disband. Please note, that if you are very late in contacting me (within 2 weeks of the due date) there are limited things I am able to do. Again the goal is to have a meaningful exchange and learn from the group. IF there are any conduct infractions as per University Regulations, the group will disband. See the next item about what happens when a group disbands.

  4. IF YOUR GROUP DISBANDS OR YOU LOOSE SOMEONE: If for some reason someone is removed from your group or everyone in the group ends up doing it individually, then each sub-group/individual will be responsible for all of the required work of the assignemnt(s). I HOPE that you will have a group to experience group work and all of the benefits you gain (after all you will work in groups when you get a job). Remember that the assignments' requirements and deliverables will NOT change even if you end up doing this work individually.

NOTE: Before classes started, I randomly created working groups for our class. You can see who is in your group if you go to our Canvas site and select "CS230 groups". If you joined class later, or enrolled later, you will need to contact me prior to the second week of class to be added to a group.
