These are boards that through column orgainzation let you create cards for issues/task that you need to accomplish in the development of your project.
Here is a picture of actively using in one of my research project Trello -note each sticky a task(a card) has a title and if you see in the circlesyou can see the team members who are working on it (LG-that's me Lynne Grewe or C - thats my grad student). NOTE: I make 3 categories Milestones --which is were all the items/tasks will begin. As I or someone starts to work on the mileston it moves to In Progress and when done it moves to Completed.
You do not need to have these column names. Minimally 3 columns is good. (ToDo, In Progress, Completed). There are different styles for deciding on the number of columns and their names. There is no right or wrong. Below you can see an example of mine where I have one with 6 columns - New Issues, ToDo, In Progress , Done/Completed, Closed A version of these boards that is "theoretically" called Kanban boards -takes a minimalist approach with 3 columns. READ one approach called Kanban boards here that takes the 3 column simple approach.
